Homeless Response System Orientation
Homelink Skilled Assessors must complete all HRS lessons. This training will be in person at the Close to Home office and will consist of Two days at Four hours each. Day 1 and Day 2 must be taken in order.  

The objective of the Skilled Assessor New User Homeless Response System (HRS), locally known as Homelink, Orientation is to provide new Homelink Skilled Assessors an understanding of how to effectively navigate the homelessness response system, their roles within it, and how to access the resources and support they need to assist people experiencing homelessness. This orientation includes all of the following:

  • · Introduction to the System & How it Works
  • · HRS System Components – Coordination & Collaboration
  • · Skilled Assessor and other User Roles and Responsibilities
  • · Client Engagement & Person-Centered Approaches
  • · System Navigation and Functionality
  • · Policies & Procedures and CoC, ESG, and Local Written Standards
  • · Support and Resources, including accessing forms
  • · Performance Metrics and Reporting (Homelink Performance Report)
  • · Governance – How P&P and Local Standards are developed and implemented
  • · Feedback Mechanisms
  • · Role-specific training track (pathway)
  • · Direct supervision feedback on training effectiveness and role readiness
  • · Skilled Assessor Agreement
