CoC Governance and Onboarding
To equip new Alliance Members with a thorough understanding of the Continuum of Care (CoC) model and the supporting governance structure, ensuring they can effectively contribute to decision-making policy in the homeless response system. Having committed well trained members will ensure decisions being made through governance are well represented and thought out. Please review the attached content.
1. Read through the Governance Charter and Interim Rule
Objective: To provide new Alliance members with foundational knowledge of the CoC model, including its regulatory framework and guiding principles, enabling them to understand the governance structure and its role in the homeless response system.
2. Watch the Governance Onboarding Video 
Objective: To familiarize new Alliance members with the roles, responsibilities, and processes within the CoC governance structure, helping them understand how to effectively contribute to decision-making and policy development.
3. Watch the Governance Overview Video - Must complete 1-3 to apply for a committee seat
Objective: To offer governance participants a comprehensive overview of the CoC’s committees, their functions, and the interconnection of governance within the broader homeless response system, preparing them to actively engage in governance activities. Note: Completion of Steps 1-3 are required to apply for a Committee Seat.
4. Governance in Practice
Objective: To members with hands-on experience and practical insights into governance operations, fostering confidence in participating in real-time decision-making and collaboration within the CoC governance framework.
